Swimming & Waterpolo Club Closed

Hi All,

RS&WPC Committee have taken the advice by Boris Johnson (Wednesday 18th March) and Swim England to cancel ALL sessions with immediate effect.

We will assess the situation on a weekly basis and follow advice from Swim England and Bury Leisure as to when sessions may resume. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause, please keep an eye on the homepage of the website.

Standing order payments should be cancelled until we are aware when the club will resume.

UPDATE 2

Following the news of the club having to close down for a short while, please can all members that pay standing order throughout the club please cancel their automated payment with their bank as soon as possible.

Anyone that does not cancel their standing order causing payment to be made cannot be credited or reimbursed at a later date.

Once we know when we are able to reopen the club and return to training we will send out an update to reactivate the standing order and any further updates regarding payment.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused but the safety of our members is our main priority following advice we have received.

Shrimps Gala 2020

We are holding our Shrimps gala on Saturday 25th April 2020 at Castle Leisure Centre at 17.30pm.*

This is for swimmers aged 8 and under, 9, 10 and 11 years.

Age is as on 25th April 2020.

Entries for the gala will be taken on-line via this link Click here >>. Once you have submitted your entry, please bring your swimmer along on the day from 17.15pm for registration, and to pay the entry fee. All swimmers have to register before they can compete

Closing date for entries Sunday 19th April 2020 at 8.00pm

This is an excellent opportunity for our young swimmers to obtain some gala experience.

We will be looking for volunteers to help out on the night. If you can help in any way please contact Mark Evans on mevans873@aol.com.

Radcliffe Swimming & Waterpolo Club A.G.M 2020

This year’s AGM will be held on Monday 6th January 2020, 7.00pm at Castle Leisure Centre.

Please mark yourself as 'Going' on our Facebook event page, if you are thinking of coming so that we can make sure there will be enough seats for everyone; Facebook- RS&WPC AGM 20 20

Any resolution proposed to be moved at the AGM must be sent/handed to Chris Lord – not less than 21 days before Monday 6th January 2020.
Please make an effort to come to the A.G.M as information about the club will be reviled and decisions will be decided here at the meeting including Training Fee's, Committee Members and more.

Anyone is able to attend the meeting but ONLY paid up members of the age of 16 on the day are able to be heard and vote on matters. Members who have not reached their 16th birthday shall be entitled to be heard and vote only on those matters determined by the Chair as matters concerning juniors.

To All Stage 1 Parents,

Unfortunately due to lack of teachers within the club, stage 1 will be cancelled tomorrow ONLY. All other stages and CL sessions will continue as normal.

Stage 1 will recommence next Sunday. Please ignore previous messages as cover has now been sought following next week.

If you or another person you know wants to volunteer within the club as a teacher please contact Chris Lord, RSWPC Chairman who will bring it to the committee.

The Club Championships and Club Shrimps will be combined again this year and shall be held over 2 dates in November.

There are events for age groups 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 and over, age on date of competition (15/12/2019)

Cost is £4 per entry.
