Distance Session 17th & 18th December

We are holding distance badge sessions on Saturday and Sunday 17/18 December. In addition to swimmers getting the chance to see how far they can swim and get badges for their efforts, we are opening up this session to help raise funds for a little boy named Ted Waring.
Ted is a local young boy from Harwood, the brother of Leo who is in Natalya's class at school, who from the age of 4 months started losing weight, being constantly sick and refusing his milk. After months of hospital visits and admittances it was found that Ted has a large tumour between his eyes and ears, which has been diagnosed as cancerous. Now this amazing and brave little 11 month old boy requires 70 weeks of chemotherapy.
It was a privilege to meet Ted recently and it would make such a difference to help support such a happy little man. If you would like to take part in supporting Ted then the sponsorship forms are available to download now, or you can collect one from any of the training sessions.
Sponsorship is entirely optional, you can take part in the distance session without participating in the fundraiser.
So the detail, the Saturday Session will be for all swimmers who are in Juniors and Seniors Only. The Stage 5/6 Session will be cancelled on this date. The Sunday Session is for all swimmers Stages 1-6. Volunteers will be required on both the days to help count the lengths. Please could you let us know if you are happy to help, either by letting us know at a training session, dropping us a Facebook message or even an email. There is no maximum to the distance being swum, however there is a time limit of 90 minutes.
Badges will be by order only and forms will be available on the day of each event for parents to complete and pay. There is no limit to the number of badges that can be ordered i.e if a swimmer completes 100m they can also order 50m, 25m, 10m and 5m etc if they require.
The cost to enter the event is the normal £3.50 and any badges ordered cost £3.00 per badge.
