Dave 'Ralphy' Briggs Memorial Trophy

The British Police won the Dave Ralphy Briggs Memorial Tournament on Saturday
It was a very close fought competition going down to the last match, Radcliffe v the Police.
Radcliffe needed to win the match to take the title, but were a goal down at the start of the 2nd half. Drawing level, 2 a piece with 3 minutes left, only for the police to pull ahead a minute later. With the score at 3 : 2 it was Benn Broadbent who scored the equalise with only 24 seconds left on the clock. Sadly, even though the team pressed the Police until the final whistle, a win was not to be, dropping Radcliffe to 2nd place. Phil Stout scored Radcliffe’s other 2 goals and the team played extremely well, considering some of our, stronger players were unavailable on the day. In fact one of our own top scorers Taff was playing for the opposition scoring 2 of their gaols against us.
Total raised for Cancer Charity to be announced once all donations are in.
